  • Finally, a Target store for Manhattan

    Target’s first Manhattan store will open this Sunday, July 25!  The store is in East Harlem at 116th and the FDR Drive at the East River Plaza (which also houses Costco, Best Buy, Marshalls).  This is such great news for New Yorkers.  I LOVE Target and usually end up buying stuff that I don’t need when I go there because it’s so cheap and their stuff tends to be well designed and attractive, in every category.  They had a party Tuesday night with the Target dog and others in attendance.

    I actually do even buy clothes at Target sometimes.  I have a black Mossimo dress with an exposed zipper down the back that I got a couple of years ago that has ended up being one of my favorites!

  • Cool Bamboo Finds

    For some reason I’ve always loved bamboo. It’s just cool.  Fashion has also loved bamboo for some time – from Gucci’s use of bamboo accents going back to the 1940s to Tiffany’s sterling silver bamboo jewelry and silverware.  Over the last few years it’s been even more popular, from bamboo wood floors to fabrics made from bamboo pulp…  Well here are a couple of new fun and inexpensive bamboo things:
